On Saturday, 23 November 2019 the Town was once again lit up by Christmas lights.
The Town Crier hosted a day of entertainment on the Square commencing at 10.30 am with the Wimborne Ukulele Band. This was followed by other performers including local schools, choirs and dancers. The Minster Choir led the crowd in carol singing at 4 pm and Canon Andrew Rowland then blessed the tree before local children from St John’s First School pressed the button which lit up the tree and the surrounding streets!
A collection was held during the day for the Town Mayor’s charities and nearly £600 was collected.
Afterwards, the Militia fired a volley on The Minster Green to ward of evil spirits.
