Citizens Advice Bureau
We provide free, confidential and independent information about almost anything. Our clients’ most common problems generally relate to benefits, employment, debt, housing, consumer affairs and family relationships.During the Covid-19 Crisis please  call 01202 884738 and leave your details and an adviser will call you back. Although face to face sessions have been suspended, East Dorset Citizens Advice is available to provide help and support over the phone and online.

Community Responders
As the South West is predominantly rural it is not always possible for an ambulance to reach people in the more remote areas quickly, South Western Ambulance Service aims to recruit, train and equip community-based volunteers to respond to certain life-threatening emergency and deliver appropriate care until the ambulance arrives.

Diverse Abilities Plus is a charity supporting working with children and adults with Cerebral Palsy who have physical and learning disabilities working in Poole, Bournemouth and Dorset. England.

Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner
The PCC is an elected official responsible for the governance and oversight of Dorset Police as well as working more widely with local partners, organisations and communities to improve community safety and criminal justice outcomes across the whole of Dorset. The PCC also acts as the ‘public voice in policing’ – representing the views of the public in determining the strategic priorities for policing locally during his term of office. With that in mind we want to make it as easy as possible for people to find out information relating to the work of the PCC and to make contact if/when required. One important element of this is our website so any assistance that you may be able to provide in helping people access it would be very much appreciated.

Leigh Park Initiative is a charity formed by two local churches, Wimborne Baptist Church and St John’s C/E, to co-ordinate work on a 450 household mixed East Dorset Housing Association (EDHA) estate in the eastern part of Wimborne, Dorset UK. We believe strongly that “Leigh Park is a good place to be!”

Museum of East Dorset (formerly known as Priest House Museum)
The Priest’s House is an historic town house dating from the 16th century, located in the heart of Wimborne Minster. This Grade II* listed building retains many original architectural features. There are period room settings, such as the Victorian Kitchen with working Beetonette range. The building also houses displays covering the rich local history and archaeology of East Dorset and its communities.

Royal Voluntary Service Home Library Service
Do you like to read? But find it difficult to get to the library to get new books? We might be able to help. Wimborne Library have a team of dedicated Royal Voluntary Service volunteers who are able to visit on a regular basis, delivering the books you want from the Library to your home, free of charge. Large print books and talking books can also be delivered. This service is funded by Dorset Library Service, and delivered by the Royal Voluntary Service. It is available across Dorset to anyone who cannot easily get to their local library, and can be provided on a temporary basis as well as long term. All Royal Voluntary Service volunteers are DBS checked and receive ongoing training and support. As well as the Home Library Service the Royal Voluntary Service can provide Befriending, help with transport or shopping, and other things you might need – just get in touch with us and find out how we might be able to help. Tivoli Theatre
The Tivoli was built in 1936 as a cine/theatre and the tradition of showing both films and live stage shows continues to the present day. Big audiences for major shows were traditional at the Tivoli and the theatre has once again achieved the status of a major 500 seat venue.
