Bishop of Salisbury joins Wimborne Minster Congregation for Patronal Festival

The Bishop of Salisbury The Right Revd Nicholas Holtam Presided and Preached at Wimborne Minster’s Patronal Festival on Sunday (6th September) on which should also have been the occasion of the once in five years Flower Festival which was to have marked the Minster’s 900th anniversary of the start of the Minster Building as we know it today. The Minster Choir also made a welcome return singing socially distanced during the Parish Eucharist Service. The Patronal Festival marks the anniversary of the death of St Cuthburga, the Minster Patron Saint. The Flower Festival has been postponed due to the COVID-19 until September 2022.
