Waitrose Customers support for Wimborne in Bloom
July 18 2012
Wimborne in Bloom funds have been boosted as a result of the ‘green tokens’ accumulated by Waitrose Community Matters Initiative in May.
A cheque was handed over recently for £263 by Emma Overington, Community Matters Champion on behalf of Waitrose to Anthony Oliver, Chairman and Richard Nunn, Treasurer of Wimborne in Bloom. The Charity had been specially selected to receive a share of the tokens collected in May in support of the Towns entry into the Britain in Bloom Competition.
The Town will be judged early on the morning of Friday 10th August when we hope that everywhere will be ‘spic and span’. “We are grateful to Waitrose”, said Anthony Oliver, “in this our 20th Anniversary Year for this further support of Wimborne in Bloom.
