The Crown and Anchor is to lose a pub amid concerns that the site could be developed.
The Crown and Anchor at Walford is closing to customers on Saturday with Hall and Woodhouse's tenants moving out next month.
Andy and Sarah Waddle had been hoping to renew their year's tenancy agreement but the brewery decided not to go ahead. Now regulars are worried that the land will be developed and the pub pulled down.
Hall and Woodhouse did not want to comment on the closure.
