43 CONFIRMATION OF RECREATION & LEISURE COMMITTEE HELD ON 29 MAY 2012
Cllr R D Cook thanked Cllr Alan Spencer for all the hard work he done in the preparation and holding of the Jubilee events on Tuesday 5 June 2012. These sentiments were supported by the Council.

44 CONFIRMATION OF PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE HELD ON 12 JUNE 2012
Referring to Minute 32 (Cemetery Road - Request for 'No Through Road' Sign), Cllr A W Spencer hoped that any signage eventually displayed would not prevent cyclists from using the road. This point would be made to the traffic engineers.

46 DORSET COUNTY COUNCILLOR'S REPORT

47 EAST DORSET DISTRICT COUNCILLORS' REPORTS
Cllr D G L Packer - See Appendix B to these Minutes.
Cllr D Morgan reported on a number of matters including grass cutting; Task and Finish Group - Boundary Commission proposals.
Referring to the Boundary Commission proposals, Cllr Packer added that a review in 2000 had resulted in there being a number of areas where there were different ward boundaries for District Councillors and Town/Parish Councillors. He added that the parish boundaries on which precepts were based were church boundaries. The Electoral review would not change those.
Cllr Mrs Roberts asked how many District Councillors there would be for Wimborne Minster, where there were three at present.

Cllr Robin Cook stated that the ratio was one District Councillor to 2,500 residents so the current number may reduce to two District Councillors.
48 TOWN MAYOR’S REPORT
The Town Mayor thanked the Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress for attending a recent event on his behalf and Cllrs Robin Cook & Mrs Sue Cook for their assistance over the Jubilee weekend.
The Town Mayor informed Members that he would be holding a Civic Afternoon on Tuesday 4 September 2012.

Dorset Cyclists' Network - Cllr L G Harvey
Cllr Harvey had attended their AGM at the weekend when the Town Council was thanked for its grant. DCN members had commented that they believed the new layout at Canford Bottom to be the most dangerous roundabout in Dorset.
Wimborne/Ochsenfurt Twinning Association - Cllr Mrs A E Roberts
Cllr Mrs Roberts commented that the visit by the German twinners during the Folk Festival weekend had been a great success.

50 HONORARY FREEWOMAN - MRS M RYAN
Cllr Robin Cook read out a letter from Mrs Margery Ryan, a copy of which appears as Appendix H to these Minutes, thanking the Town Council for making her an Honorary Freewoman of the town, with special thanks to Cllr Robin Cook, the then Mayor, for his words at the presentation of the certificate.
She also thanked the Town Mayor & Mayoress and Members for the invitation to attend the Civic Reception for the Wimborne/Ochsenfurt Twinning Association during their recent visit, particularly as she was closely involved at the time of the establishment of the Association in 1989.
The meeting closed at 8.08 pm.
