Born and brought up in Broadstone, Sue moved to Wimborne with her family 30 years ago. Her son attended both Wimborne First and Allenbourn, two excellent examples of our local schools.
She has spent her working life locally in both the private and public sectors, including many years with the NHS, and fourteen until her retirement in 2015 in local government. The experience gained in these areas has helped her to have a greater understanding of our community.
She is a Trusteee of the Priest’s House Museum, and also of the Collections Trust at the Museum.
She was first elected to Wimborne Minster Town Council in 2010. She also represents the Council on the PACT panel, and the Town Centre Liaison Group.
Sue is chairman of the Wimborne Dementia Friendly Community Steering Group and has encouraged the Town Council to become a Dementia Friendly Council.
