Councillor Robin Cook

Picture of Cllr Mr R D Cook A Town Councillor since 2003, Robin has been an active member of the community for many years. He has worked in Wimborne from 1978 until retirement in 2010 and lived in the town since 1987. 

Robin has had the honour of being Town Mayor twice previously, in 2006/07 and 2008/09. 

He has been chairman and president of the Wimborne Minster & District Chamber of Trade, was responsible for designing the current Town Guide and also instrumental in bringing the present Christmas lighting scheme to the town. In addition to his Town Council responsibilities he represents Wimborne as a Dorset County Councillor and as an East Dorset District Councillor. 

Married to Sue, also a Town Councillor, he has a son, 2 daughters, one who lives locally and the other in Michigan USA, and 4 grandchildren. His hobbies and interests include fishing, music and politics.
