I moved to Witchampton, Dorset, in 1976 with my husband John who opened his Gun Shop in Wimborne Minster the following year and in 1980 we moved to live in the town centre. We have two grown up daughters, Sally and Gemma.

I was first elected as a Wimborne Minster Town Councillor in 1991 and have had the honour of  being Town Mayor three times.

I am Chairman of the Friends of East Dorset CAB, Vice President of Wimborne Quadrilateral St John Ambulance, President of Wimborne Musical Theatre Society as well as President of the Wimborne Minster Chamber of Trade and Commerce. I also support various other local organisations, including SSAFA and the Royal British Legion.
